FAQ
For Viral Film Makers
General
How many films can I send you ?
As many as you like, but remember it’s quality not quantity that counts!
Film Rights
What will the Client do with the film?
They may want to modify it by adding music or their brand logo or they may leave it as it is. If there is content in your film which is copyrighted by someone else than yourself and too expensive for the Client, we may ask you to remove those elements and resubmit it. Once ready, a film is then launched as a viral on the Net.
What if the film I want to send you belongs to someone else?
You can’t upload it, the best you can do is tell the owner to upload it and you may want to have your own agreement with that owner for letting them know about it, in case they manage to sell the rights to that film, but Viralstreet takes no part in and has no legal responsibility for such private arrangements!
What will happen if my film has some music or film that is not mine in it?
You can use content in your videos that someone else owns the copyright to, such as famous music tracks or snippets of copyrighted action without their permission. But if a client decides to purchase the rights to that film, then they must also be able to buy the rights to that part of the content which is not yours. This means those rights must not be held by a private individual who the client cannot contact. As a rule of thumb, the more famous, the more likely a client will be able to buy the rights.
Once I upload my film can I change my mind?
Yes, see our Terms and Conditions 10.1
Once Viralstreet sells my film can I change my mind?
No.
Once Viralstreet sells my film can I sell it to someone else?
No. See clause 10.2 of our Terms and Conditions.
Earning Money
How will I know if a company wants to buy my film or not?
We will contact you.
What if a company does not want to purchase the rights to my film?
You can always decide to remove your film from the Viralstreet.com website at any time; however once it is removed we are unable to sell the rights to that film.
What types of films do clients typically approve?
Films that are well produced, entertaining and creative. That said there is no specific formula so the important thing is to enjoy yourself, because if you are enjoying yourself making the film, then probably it will be enjoyable for others to watch and therefore more likely to go viral. From our experience, Clients typically do not tend to purchase films that last more than about 3 minutes, depending obviously on the content.
How do you pay me if I win?
We will need to take your bank details or those of your guardians or parents, with your and their permission, and then we will wire the money to that bank account.
Will I need to pay tax on the money you pay me?
That depends on a number of factors such as your age, your tax jurisdiction and how much else you earn in a given tax year. The best thing is to get local advice from a local financial advisor.

For Companies
What if I want to modify the film?
Once you purchase the rights to a Viralstreet film, you can do whatever you like to it as long as you respect our Terms & Conditions. You are responsibility for the rights to any of the content you add, not Viralstreet Ltd.
What if I want to remake the film completely?
You can do this, but you must first purchase the rights to the Viralstreet film to avoid any infringement of copyright.
How many films can I buy?
As many as you like.
What am I actually purchasing?
The rights to the film, see our Terms and Conditions.
How much does it cost?
Each author can set his / her own price for his films. The money is given to the owner of the film that you purchase the rights to.
If the film includes rights of a famous artist how is this managed?
You firstly purchase the film, you can then explore the cost to pay for the rights of any content that is included in the film (that you want to keep), that is not owned by whoever submitted the film. If you do not want to pay the amount for the famous artist but you still wish to purchase the rights to the film without them we can ask who submitted the film to remove those elements. Remember that once a company purchases a film, they can then change the film by adding their brand, music, strap lines, voiceovers or anything else.
What do you mean by doing the red TM thing?
Companies can also do the red TM thing by paying a non-disclosed sum to Red and having a sign-off on their film to show that they did this.
