Buffering
The Viralstreet video player downloads a video as it plays. A buffer allows it to play more smoothly if the connection isn't fast enough.

There are 30 categories. These are topic areas that are used to help users find more easily the content they are looking for. If you cannot find an appropriate category then propose one to us and we will decide if we want to add it.
Company
Synonymous with Client, these are the End Users who purchase the films to use for Viral marketing campaigns.
Commercial Viral Film Festival (CVFF)
This is an event each year to be held in London starting 2008 at which people will win awards for the content of their viral films. Awards will vary, such as the amount a film goes viral, the brand engagement of a viral, the creativity of a viral, the saliency of a viral etc. A site will be established for this under the name www.viralwin.com.
Commercial Viral Media (CVM)
This is viral content that contains a commercial component.

File
This usually refers to a video file. The file types that Viralstreet can receive are the following .avi, .asf, .mpeg, .mpg, .mov, .qt, .flv and .wmv. Files should not be larger than 100MB and we advise films should be no longer than about 3 or 4 minutes, depending on the content of course, otherwise Clients tend not to purchase the rights to them as they are intrinsically less likely to go viral.

The Flash Player from Adobe Systems is a plugin for your web browser. Viralstreet uses it to play videos.

Processing Time
The time it takes a video, once uploaded to the site, to be fully entered into the Viralstreet system with all associated video information and representative thumbnails. Processing time is not to be confused with Uploading Time which is the time it takes for a video to upload from a user's computer to the Viralstreet servers.

Red TM
See www.theglobalfund.org/en/partners/private/red/ for the (Product) Red which was set up as a fund with the primary objective to engage the private sector in the fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in Africa. Companies can do the red TM thing with Viralstreet by paying a non-disclosed sum to Red and having a sign-off on their film to show that they did this.

These are the property rights of the film, films can have a number of property rights depending on which rights pertain to which artist and or film producer for which part of a film. One does not purchase a viral film, that always remains with who made the film, but one does purchase the rights to be able to exploit that viral film how one likes.
